This is definitely one of my favourite places for food. Firstly it's a good location on the main road between Mansfield and Nottingham but not so far out that it's a journey to get there. The place itself has a rustic aesthetic that is very pretty across all seasonsInside keeps the rustic theme going. It's very warm and cosy with two main sections and the bar kind of between them. It is often busy so I would recommend booking rather than dropping in. I once went at 2pm on a Wednesday and there wasn't one free table. The menu is great, everything you'd expect from a pub with reasonable prices. The 2 for 15 deal is amazing value as the size of the meals are huge! There is also a seafood menu that has a very good reputation (although I do not like seafood). The puddings on offer are great. There's a cake cart with huge and nice looking cakes on, then a cake cabinet with cheesecakes and such inside, plus a specials board. Perfect for pudding lovers !The staff are also extremely friendly and nothing is too much for them!I would always recommend here!

Excellent food at a good price. If you prefer freshly cooked food over microwave meals from the usual pubs then you won't be disappointed. My only jibe is that the pub needs to expand the seating areas and bar area apart from this expect a good meal

Good wholesome food. Many gluten free options - including fish and chips. Generous portion sizes but really good value for money. Fresh fish from Grimsby and Newcastle daily. Not often you find such fresh fish in such a place so far from the coast. Having lived near the coast for years I should know!. Locals know this. Book a table or you run the risk of missing out particularly on popular nights. Steak night, curry night, weekends. ...

Never in my life have I had such amazing food from a pub, especially vegan food! Where I'm from in Australia I'm lucky to get vegan food at the posh or hipster food places but larch farm totally takes the win for me. Desserts , mince pies, meals, service. Everything was amazing. If I'm ever back in the UK I'll definitely be popping in

the surroundings are lovely, the staff attentive. I'm not one for fish dishes, but they had a full specials menu of fresh fish entrees alongside their full menu. it was a very nice experience, not rushed along even though it was a busy saturday lunch crowd. will be back, would recommend for a quality pub meal at fair prices.
